Attorney Kim Coleman Waisonovitz, a passionate and zealous advocate for
constitutional and civil rights, came to the law after a diversified career. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in finance and Banking from the Universty of Bridgeport in 1986, she worked as an accountant for several Fortune 500 companies. She then worked as a foresnic accountant in complex civil litigation. Among her accomplishments is helping to start a $43 million company, on whose board she served.

Waisonivitz's passion is litigation, and she regularly appears in the state's criminal courts; she won her first criminal trial, and has never looked back, working regularly on complex evidentiary issues, suppression issues and other constitutional claims. She has argued novel legal theories in both the trial and appellate courts. In addition to her work in the criminal courts, Waisonivitz has litigated claims of false arrest, execessive force, employment discrimination at both the administrative and court levels, and appears regularly in state and federal courts. She has been overheard to say: "Nothing gets the blood pumping like a good cross-examination."
